Sports Physiotherapy Mentorship for Ambitious Rehab Professionals
Breaking into elite sport as a physiotherapist is one of the most competitive moves you can make in your career. The clinical bar is high, the environments are demanding, and the pathway is rarely straightforward. If you're ready to make that step — or you're already working in sport and want to operate at a higher level — structured mentorship from someone who has done it can accelerate everything.
I'm Ed Clarke, a sports physiotherapist with over 20 years of experience across the NHS, private practice, and elite sport. I spent five years at Chelsea FC's Academy, progressing to lead the physiotherapy department, and I lecture on the UCL Sports Medicine Masters programme. I work with physiotherapists and rehab professionals who are serious about developing their clinical reasoning, building confidence in high-performance environments, and carving out a sustainable career in elite sport.
Who this is for
My mentorship is designed for two groups. First, physiotherapists who want to break into professional football, rugby, or other elite sporting environments and need honest, practical guidance on how to get there. Second, experienced clinicians already working in sport who want to sharpen their rehabilitation frameworks, develop their decision-making under pressure, or navigate the next step in their career.
How it works
Mentorship takes place via one-to-one video calls, structured around your goals and the challenges you're currently facing. Sessions are tailored — there's no generic programme. Whether you want to work through complex case management, discuss return-to-sport decision-making, or get candid advice on breaking into elite football, we focus on what matters most to you.
